File/grind driver about 1mm to 1.5mm

Staples rip paper or plastic wrap
1. Staple driven too deeply
2. Staple profile too small
1. File/grind driver by about 1 mm to 1.5mm

Staples break w/ hammer tacker

2. User not hitting tacker squarely
3. Driver blade worn
1. Choke up on tacker & use only force required to drive staple
2. Use straight steady swing
3. Re-dress to square or replace with new driver

Staples shear in compression tacker
1. Rail loose
2. Rail not square
3. Pusher flared
1. Re-rivet
2. Leverage with screwdriver to square

Possible Solution

Nails break
1. Tool is not one that is recommended
2. Wood too dense/hard
3. Driver blade worn/not flat
1. Use recommended tool
2. Use shorter RAPTOR nail- if still doesn't work, wood too hard
3. Redress or replace driver

Nails follow wood grain
Wood bands very hard
Nail perpendicular to hard band
Rotate nailer 45°

Nails drive too deep
Driver blade too long for soft wood
Redress driver by appropriate amount-(do not try to fix by lowering air pressure-not reliable & tool does not function properly)

Nail heads stick up
1. Driver is jumping off of nail before complete driving (indentation in wood)
2. Air pressure too low
1. Redress driver
Hold tool steady
2. Increase air pressure to 90 psi

Nailer drives nail then skips nail (blank shot)
1. Driver blade not retracting fully
2. Pusher spring worn/damaged
1. Increase air pressure to 90 psi
2. Replace pusher spring
